The PGD U-line Class 4 SA plates protect you against rifle bullets from batle rifles, assault rifles, and sniper rifles. The PGD U-line ESAPI model for shooters is an excellent choice for those who need maximum protection in high-risk environments, whether for soldiers on the battlefield, security guards, or civilians exposed to terrorists or saboteurs.
The PGD U-line can be used as a stand-alone plate, so you don't need a soft bulletproof package underneath. Upon impact, the bullet remains embedded in the plate.
The multi-curve design allows the plate to conform well to the body, as it is contoured to the chest and abdomen. The plate is made from a single, large piece of monolithic SiC ceramic. This gives you the lightest yet strongest ceramic available for NIJ level 4.

The PGD U-line ESAPI plate is protected all around by a thin foam layer against impact and intensive use, and also prevents bullet fragments from causing injuries to the neck upon impact. The advantage of a ceramic plate is that it stops SS109/M855/M193 and armor-piercing impacts where they would penetrate the steel plate. An Anti-Backface Signature line is built into the back of the plate. This provides extra protection against trauma from the bullet impact.
The PGD U-line ESAPI plate is designed to perform well in extreme environments where it is hot or very cold. The PGD U-line plate is sealed with an oil and water-repellent Cordura cover.
Side panels (optional) are available in the following dimensions and are single-curved:
