PGD U-line side plates NIJ level 4 SA are single curve designed to provide additional protection to the sides of the torso, complementing the front and back plates in bulletproof vests or plate carriers. Side plates are used to protect vital organs such as the heart, kidneys and liver without significantly reducing mobility or comfort in high-risk environments where the threat can also come from the side such as in trenches or other tactical situations.
Product Features
The plate is made of Monolithic SIC, which means there is a large piece of ceramic on the front of the hard bulletproof plate. The plate is lined with a very thin foam layer to protect the ceramic from impacts, from extreme temperatures, such as heat and cold and also to catch flak when a bullet is packed. In addition, the plate is encased with a 100% water-repellent Cordura cover, which provides protection against water, oil and other similar liquids, ensuring the integrity and durability of the plate under various conditions.
